I will be sharing my experience on how I personally planned and prepared for my trip there. It helped me in planning my days better, switching routes, and dealing with unexpected situations that might occur during our journey.

As a traveler one wants to know about the best place to visit and how better than sharing that with all. Here are some of the things that you can do while visiting Malaysia:

Hiking along the Cameron Highlands or Kota Tinggi Plateau
These two parks offer some of the most beautiful scenery in Peninsular Malaysia with their dense rainforests and high peaks surrounded by clear blue skies. You can hike up into the mountains from either end of the plateau or explore them from different directions by taking long-distance trails that lead through beautiful valleys and along rivers between steep cliffs.

Visiting the Perhentian Islands
Perhentian Island is part of the Province of Kedah, Malaysia. It is a beautiful island that is located in the Andaman Sea and is just 12 kilometers from Tanjung Rhu beach on Penang Island. The island is about 3 miles long and 1 mile wide, with white sand beaches and coral reefs. The Perhentian Islands are known for their diving sites, including Blue Cave and Turtle Rock. Diving can be organized through dive companies or by booking through our partner resorts.

Dive with Manta Rays:
Scuba diving around Malaysia is world-class. The best time to dive is between March and May when many species of manta rays swim close to shore. You can find them at places like Pulau Tioman (part of Peninsular Malaysia), as well as other islands off the coast of Peninsular Malaysia, like Tioman Island and Perhentian Island.

Visit a Borneo Rainforest
Borneo is an island in Southeast Asia that’s famous for its rainforests and unique wildlife. The most famous Borneo destination is the Orang Utan Sanctuary in Sabah, Malaysia’s eastern-most state which borders Indonesia’s West Papua province. Other popular spots include Kinabatangan River Park in Sabah and Gunung Mulu National Park in Sarawak – both beautiful national parks located on the island’s east coast.

Melaka
This historical city was once under Portuguese rule before it was ceded back to Malacca Sultanate at the end of the Portuguese occupation. Today, Melaka is known for its mosques and other old buildings which have been restored after years of neglect. You also get to see some beautiful mosques there such as Pasar Malam Mosque or Kemasik Mosque which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2006 because of its architectural beauty and historical significance.

Visit Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is one of Malaysia’s largest cities and has many attractions for visitors who want to explore this fascinating region of South East Asia. If you’ve got kids then they’ll love visiting Legoland Malaysia where they can build their own Lego creations (there are even special Lego sets available if they want!). If they’re old enough they can visit LEGOLAND Discovery Centre which includes an interactive museum where they can learn more about Malaysian history.

Explore Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu is one of Malaysia’s largest cities, located on the island of Borneo in south-eastern Sabah state. It’s known for its rich culture, diverse ethnicities, and natural beauty – so much so that it was named as one of only six UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Asia Pacific by Unesco in 2015.

Kluang Town
Kluang is the capital of Terengganu, a state in Malaysia situated on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It is a bustling town with a population of about 230,000 people. The town has been declared as one of the “Top 10 Must-Visit Towns in Malaysia” by CNN, and also featured on Lonely Planet as one of the best towns to visit in Malaysia.

Pulau Tioman
Tioman Island is located off the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia near Singapore and is famous for its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, stunning coral reefs, and stunning marine life. This island was declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site in 2004 due to its unique biodiversity and cultural significance.

Taman Negara National Park
The heavy rainforests of Taman Negara National Park are home to many animals including tigers, leopards, elephants, gibbons, and orang-utans. It is also home to rare species such as hornbills and sun bears (panda).

The best time to visit this park is during the dry season, which lasts from May to September. During this time the weather is sunny with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius (86 F). You can also visit this park in November or December when there is less rain but still lots of green vegetation

There are many excellent hiking trails in the park that take you through the jungle along rivers with beautiful scenery. The most popular route is from Jungle Lodge to Danum Valley National Park. You can also enjoy jungle walks at Iban Waterfall or Sarawak River Cruise. For those who want a more challenging hike, there are two routes from Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to Bukit Barisan Range.

Accommodation
Malaysia, like most other countries in Asia, has a good range of accommodation options. The capital city, Kuala Lumpur, is home to hotels from all over the world and has many luxury options as well as budget

accommodations.

The accommodation options in Malaysia are plentiful. You can choose from a wide variety of budget hotels, luxury hotels, and resort hotels. Hotels are located all over the country. The best time to choose your hotel is between October and April when the weather is warm and pleasant.

There are also plenty of hotels in major cities such as Penang, Johor Bahru, Ipoh, and Kuching. These are generally cheaper than Kuala Lumpur but still offer good value for money. Hostels typically charge between 105 and 130 MYR per night for private rooms. Free Wi-Fi and free breakfast are common, but most hostels do not have kitchens!

If you want to stay near the beach, then you should consider staying at a hotel located near one of the beaches in Malaysia. If you are looking for a quiet place away from city life, then it would be best if you choose to stay in rural areas like Kelantan or Pahang.

It is popular to camp in Taman Negara and the Cameron Highlands in order to save money on accommodation. You can expect to pay between 10-35 MYR per night for a basic plot without electricity. Throughout the country, Airbnb provides entire apartments and homes for travelers. These start at 100-160 MYR per night.

Best season to Travel to Malaysia

The best time to visit Malaysia is from December until the end of January, and the second, from June through mid-September. During this period, it is much easier to get a flight and hotel at the same time without having to worry about crowds or waiting in line.

The peak season is January and February when it rains almost every day, which makes it hard to find accommodations while visiting the country. The rainy season also has its advantages though. The humidity is lower during this time so you won’t get as hot as you would in the summertime, but that also means that there are fewer tourists around and less chance of bumping into other travelers on the beach or in your hotel room.

You can also visit from March to early November when it’s drier and less humid. It’s still warm and lush after the rainy season and tourism aren’t too busy. In the hills, the average temperature is 21°C (67°F). Across the country, temperatures don’t vary much. The daily average is 22-32°C (73-90°F). Humidity is high year-round.
